Antivirus Tools that Include AntiSpyware

AVG Antivirus

AVG Antivirus is growing in popularity, thanks to its many powerful tools and full set of both antivirus and antispyware resources. This software scans quickly and has frequent updates, making it a great solution to consider. Unfortunately, tech support is rather lacking and leaves a lot to be desired.

VIPRE Antivirus

VIPRE is full of extra features that make it a pleasure to use, including a secure file eraser that will backtrack and write empty space over files that have been removed from the system. It also uses less CPU that other programs. It is rather intrusive, and in some instances has been to shown to let viruses and malware past filters.

Titanium Antivirus

Titanium Antivirus wins points for being exceptionally easy to use. It does not scan as quickly as other programs, but is still a powerful resource. From time to time, it also may display false positives for antivirus and antispyware suspicions.

BitDefender Total Security

The BitDefender Total Security encompasses several great resources that can help keep a machine running safely. It does use more memory than other antivirus systems, which could potentially make it less attractive to users. It also seems to run slower in scanning the computer for spyware and viral threats.

Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus

The Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus places a heavy emphasis on eradicating spyware, setting it out from the crowd of other antivirus tools. It quickly learns which programs are allowed to be accessed and use the computer’s resources and which should be forbidden. Spyware Doctor is not a great choice for older machines, however, as it requires a substantial amount of memory to run.
